Just a quick note
Hi guys, to whom ever may be stopping by this terribly ignored blog of mine. I just visited many of my beginners atc group members blogs. I learned so much about each of you and it has got me to thinking I need to give my little blog some attention. Not sure if it will stick but just want to say I love you guys and each of you are so special. Hugs, LinLin

From Jen's Tute
This has been one of my favorite tutes for layering. I began the process with white card stock covered with torn paper. It was so fun choosing what papers I wanted to combine.

Next step, I added white and cream colored lace and covered the whole thing with gel medium and let dry.

Next step, I added white and cream colored lace and covered the whole thing with gel medium and let dry.

After it dries completely, I then add watercolor crayons in groves and on top of lace, well...everywhere and then pressed colored areas with fingers to smooth and smudge. I also dabbed on glitter glue. Then sprayed with a fixative.

After dry, add layer of acrylic white paint mixed with a little water and let dry.
I painted on another layer of white acrylic paint mixed with water. First layer was not enough for me, and let dry.
This is one of the ATC backgrounds I cut from paper.
Below is one of two cards made by using backgrounds above . This was a trade theme in my wonderful and fun group ATCforbeginners, located here
Always like to mention its very kind and great moderator Leslie Dupont and of course Jen for the tute, which you can find at her blog here

A Peek At My Art Journals
Here are some of my art journals/books. I show pics from each one. I stayed away from photos of pages I had written a lot, kinda personal you understand. The little punch you may notice in some of the pages is to hold the page open while I took the photo ;). If you guys have questions ask here or on our group, ATCs for Beginners-have fun.

Envelope Album

I created this album of my grandaughter Briana late last summer after a fun day at the park. I loved it because it was not busy, perfect weather, and ducks and flowers a plenty. I got this idea from-apieceofcraftdotcom- on You Tube. She has a marvelous talent for making mini books and more. So if you are interested this is the link
The album is made from business size envelopes. I totally enjoyed making this album. If anyone has a question email me or just ask ? in comments. Thanks for stopping by.

Good Morning!
Well, I am back for second day. Ok, as promised yesterday I am going to share a bit about another group I belong to. This group is ATCforbeginners and you can find it here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ATCforbeginners/

Lead Moderator is Lesley Dupont. This is a great group for learning about ATCs. They are very friendly and offer large amounts of support. The group stays busy making ATCs, sharing ATCs in albums and---for the really fun part-trading ATCs. They also have some theme Jams and etc. Here are my first ATCs to share with the group, and thrilled that three were traded first day. Oh yeh, so much fun. Take a look and don't be shy, leave a comment. Oh yeh, tomorrow I will share about my other group, so see ya.

Wow, little over a year since I last posted...
I can't believe its still here. Well, here we go yall.
If you like making ATCs or are in ATC Jams, these are adoreable. We make the small and large size. Now I am looking for a cheap rolodex card holder to put them out for display. In Jams, the #1 person usually just gives the card a background (sometimes #1 will add a small embellishment before sending to #2). I was the #2 person and sadly did not take pics before sending to the #3 person who finishes the cards, keeps one and sends other two back to #1 who keeps one and sends the final finished card to #2. Whew, a lot to explain but it is so so fun.
Below is a pic of the first set I sent out to a #2. I guess all three are suppose to be identical, but didn't know that at the time. After that some more pics of #1s I sent out.

Following is a #2. Can't wait to see what the #3 will add to finish.

Below are the only #3s I have and I finished both.

Aren't those froggies just the cutest? Ok, thats all for now on this group. Next I will talk about one of my other awesome groups. Have a good one and thanks for dropping by. Linda
The first group I joined since getting back to having some FUN was rolodex_atc_jams, you can find it here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rolodex_atc_jams .
I was thrilled after receiving my first sets of jams from leader of the group, JoAnn Mckenzie. So of course I had to take a pic.
